Amy taught learning disabled and severely autistic children for eleven years.
Amy married her wonderful husband, Pat, at Disneyland! Together they have two great sons, Thomas and Jacob. Amy took two years off to be home with her kids and then decided to open her own business, An Afternoon to Remember. She is looking forward to talking to women who own their own business and to sharing experiences of being an entrepreneur and manager of fifteen other women.

As soon as high school was done she was out of the small town and graduated with a BS degree in nursing from the University of Washington. Her husband, Brent, is an attorneyin environmental law. She has a son, 38, who runs a boutique hotel in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and a daughter, 20, who is at the University of Missouri in Columbia, as a sophomore now. She worked in health care management in Washington and in St. Louis, then quit her career to stay home with her daughter nineteen years ago. Sandra began repping for a jewelry maker and liked it so much that she started to design herself and even got her daughter involved. She now has an online store and is on to metal smithing classes to improve her array of designs. Sandra has ventured into the art world and could not be happier!

Gwen is Leadership America's regional coordinator and remains active in the Executive's Club of Chicago, DuSable Museum of African American History and the South Side Community Arts Center.
Gwen holds a bachelors degree in business from Tuskegee University and a master of management (MBA) from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. She continues to mentor at the undergraduate, graduate and corporate levels (including Menttium) and has been a Principal for a Day participant in the Chicago Public Schools since 1998.
