What does it mean to be an International Femtor™ Award winner?

This is a prestigious international honor that is only awarded to women who are an exemplary model for others to follow. This award acknowledges their outstanding achievements, skills, positive “can do” attitude and commitment to giving back to their communities.  These are women who inspire others, are respected by their peers and volunteer their time and energy to serve others less fortunate.

What is a Femtor™?

The word Femtor™ is a registered trademark of eWomenNetwork, and it means to “help a woman succeed and thrive by investing one's knowledge, skills, time, resources and insights. Femtor™, or Femtoring, is the art and compassion of a woman helping another woman succeed and achieve her dreams.


There are four award categories to select from:

Business Matchmaker of the Year:
Are you or do you know a woman who has gone out of her way to help others succeed? This award recognizes women who go above and beyond to connect women to opportunities. She is a consummate connector who unselfishly looks out for the business needs of others.

Businesswoman of the Year:
Is your business thriving or do you know a woman who is running a thriving business? We are looking for nominees who are exemplary businesswomen, and are leading organizations that have a minimum of 5 full-time employees with annual company revenue of at least $1 million for the 2005 fiscal year. Criteria:   If selected, must disclose financials and be a 51% woman-owned business.

Emerging Leader of the Year:
We are looking for the best and brightest 20 – 29 year old female achievers. This award recognizes our leaders of tomorrow and our promise for a vibrant and heart-centered future. These women are our next generation of leaders.  Criteria: Must be between 20 – 29 years of age.

Humanitarian of the Year:
We are looking for nominees who are making a meaningful contribution to humankind and are truly making a difference in the lives of individuals in need. 

Can I nominate myself for The International
Femtor™ Award?

Yes, you can nominate yourself for all categories except Humanitarian of the Year.  All other award categories may be submitted by the candidate herself, or may be nominated by a third party.

Will there be finalists as well as a winner for each category?

Yes, finalists will be selected in each of the four categories.  The actual International Femtor™ Award winner for each category will be selected from among the finalists. However, none of the finalists will learn who the final category winner is until her name is revealed at the live ceremony on Thursday, July 13, 2006 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM CST at the Hotel InterContinental in Dallas, Texas.

Details about the International Femtor™ Award:

All International Femtor™ Award finalists will in the "emerging leader category" receive a $2,500 award package, which includes the following:

  • Round-trip airfare voucher to Dallas, Texas;
  • Deluxe hotel accommodations at the 4-star InterContinental Hotel in Dallas;
  • Full Conference registration for the 2006 eWomenNetwork International Conference and Business Expo, July 13-16, 2006;
  • The exclusive International Femtor Finalist Award and stage recognition at the Awards Gala Ceremony, July 13, 2006;
  • Membership to eWomenNetwork for one year; and
  • Other gifts and surprises.

All International Femtor™ Award Winners receive, in addition to the finalist award, the following $15, 000 award package consisting of:

  • The exclusive 2006 International Femtor Award (only one per category);
  • $500 in cash;
  • $1000 technology software grant from Microsoft;
  • Ten-minute showcase interview on the eWomenNetwork radio show on ABC;
  • Acknowledgement of your award and photo posted on the home page of eWomenNetwork.com for 30 days (over 4 million hits);
  • Invitation to the exclusive women’s leadership dinner sponsored by Ameriprise financial advisors on Friday, July 14;
  • Invitation to the exclusive Platinum lunch on Saturday, July 15 sponsored by Microsoft; and
  • An assortment of other gifts and surprises.

The Humanitarian International Femtor™ Award winner additionally receives a cash donation in the amount of $3,000.
